Roberta Bonisson is a Park Slope resident,
a mother of two girls, Antonia and Dalila. She received her Masters in Media Studies from the New School.
From 2004 to 2008 she lived in Brazil and traveled throughout the country working with public school
children and teachers, and teaching video workshops. She worked for the Rio Film Festival selecting
films for the children’s portion of the festival and for the Generation Series screenings,
a mini-festival designed to promote film literacy and production in education settings. In 2009
she moved to Brooklyn, where she has taught comic book and video workshops in NYC public schools
and an animation workshops at the Shed. She has helped Media That Matters outreach to schools
and is currently developing The Shed, a backyard space for poetry, films, and children's workshops.
